They've held my self-directed ira going on 10 years now. No issues.
I have been with mid atlantic IRA for few years. Service has been deteriorating and bad. Irresponsible service people. When u need to transfer your funds, they do not act on request initiated by target IRA firm, MID ATLANTIC waits for a month or so. If you miss to follow up on the same , the funds will still be showing in the account but seems like technically being used by them on their investment practices. If this is the case , is really bad practice.
Echoing the comments of the other recent reviews. We had a great experience a few years ago when setting up our first self directed IRA. Something has happened to their staffing and customer support. We can no longer get an response to emails and every action is a struggle. We are looking to move elsewhere.
I've been with this company for many years now and prior to COVID they were very responsive and could handle my SDIRA transactions with ease. However, I have been waiting for 2 years now to get my Solo K set up with them. They have given me the runaround for 2 straight years and even after receiving my application in December and supposedly setting up my account. I still don't have an account number or access through my login. I've tried numerous times to get information but they consistently make promises and fail to delive... read more
Based on my initial experiences over a year ago, I would have given them a higher rating. Fast forward...so far this year it is crickets from them any time I have a question. Most recently I wanted to invest some funds that had come into my SDIRA, and I can't seem to get anyone to respond. They have no problem charging a quarterly fee, but sure have a problem responding to customers. I know it will cost to close the account with them and open with another company.
