The initial estimated time of completion regarding restoring power to my apartment was 1:15. Then 2:15. Then 4:15. Ridiculous. I then called to report the power outage and the automated system told me I was the first in the area to report an outage. Why would it take so long to restore power then???? Ridiculous service.

There are no alternative utility companies, so it's in vain that I complain, however this is the worst company I've ever worked with. Phone service is consistently rude and uninformed. The third party payment portal is very limited, specifically not taking Visa for recurring payments. The third party platform is Paymentus, which despite Midamerican's customer service attempting to punt every question to them, does not have a customer service line. Try getting ahold of MidAm by phone? Good luck. I was told I would be ten minutes on the phone tree, so I left my number for a callback.- in four minutes, I was told. Waited half an hour. Called back and was told I be waiting for an agent for over 30 minutes. Anyone home, MidAm?
