i own several rental properties , i had windows replaced in 2 of them a total of 32 windows the salesman did a great job explaining everything , the installers were very professional , the office staff very polite and helpfull , the whole thing , from the time i placed the order to finished installation only took 3 weeks , my hats off to everybody at midstate , in fact the owner of midstate stoped by while his guys were working to see how it was going , i would highly recommend !!
Their salesperson is convincing but the job was done poorly. The installation hillbillies left a mess!!! The windows when came were not measured correctly with large gaps around the window. The salesperson failed to mention that triple pane windows will be much thicker and the frame is wider so the window itself is smaller. Also they were tinted which makes our bedrooms dark. It was a waste of money and our next windows will be replaced by someone else for sure.
The finished product was good, however the customer service was not good. By law you have 72 hours to notify the seller in writing that you want to cancel the order. When I called and advised I wanted to fax a cancellation notice, they would not accept it this wayt (due to me being away from home, on business, which I explained to them). So since I was stuck with the order, I dealt with it. I had to repeatedly call them to get them to come out and measure the openings (which in the end took 3 weeks). They did all the windows in my home and patio slider. Left everything cleaner than most contractors. Very satisfied. As far as tinted or tiple pane goes, in most cases the purpose of replacement windows is for efficiency and utility cost reduction, very pleased. Cece
