They probably do okay at regular X-rays but I must say my experience here was horrible!! I had something called a VNS and it got removed so I could get an MRI. There was only one part that did not get removed which was a small wire in my neck due to the risk of tissue damage and the surgeon said that would not cause any issues with an MRI cause it's so small.
