Dr Herrera has been taking care of all my horses, cows and now goats for nearly 15 years. Him and his wife Dr Ellis have always been not only helpful and compassionate but supportive in the moments we all dread with our animals. This team of vets are extremely caring and beyond professional and helpful! They’ve come to our rescue many times when our horses have had colic, illnesses, and they’ve also performed numerous tests to give us peace of mind when needed. They also do our horses dentals, and they enjoy teaching you to recognize issues with your horses!! For those complaining about the vets going on vacation, and not giving a back up? Did not share flexion results when completed PPE, when asked was told nothing significant. Later to find out horse had positive flexion which buyer would have paid for radiography and ultrasound. Later to find out that the horse has a past injury that deems it w/t only and can't be fixed. Also PPE had information seller did not disclose to buyer. Dr. Ellis is responsive, professional, and flexible. She communicates throughout the entire equine PPE process so that out of state buyers can trust her as a patient advocate and make an informed decision. She has great interpersonal skills with the client while maintaining objectivity in assessing the horse.
