I'm very disappointed with the quality of Microtech. I bought a purple Amphibian, and it faded within six months. It wasn't exposed to direct sunlight, it just faded because the company did a very poor anodizing job. You can clearly see it under the clip; the original color remains, but the rest of the knife has become very pale. I'm a combat veteran of the 75th Ranger Regiment with five deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. I own four Microtech knives and carried a SOCOM auto on every deployment. I am exactly the kind of customer Microtech's brand is built around. Which is why what happened with my recent order is so disappointing. I paid for 2-Day Air shipping.
