Excellent Customer Service In the last year I have purchased two computers from Micro Center, Mpls. When Dell refused to honor an up grade commitment on one of the computers, the store Mgr. Chip Kemppainen went out of his way to honor the commitment. I"m in customer service myself, and I can appreciate the excellent care and attention Chip and Dustin have given me. Thanks guys. Mark
Computer Repair I had a PowerSpec computer with a failed optical drive. MC replaced the drive under warranty. A few months later the optical drive failed again, but the repair center said it wasn't the one they had installed before. I knew no one else was inside the machine, but nothing could be proved. They showed me their records and even double checked them for me. Regardless, they compromised and put in a new drive for the cost of the drive (no labor or diagnostic charge). For the Do-It-Yourself Geek I really like Microcenter for purchasing my computer hardware. I build my own systems (and repair others) and can easily find the components that I need at a fairly decent price. I don't like the fact that their sales associates seem to be paid on a commission basis and half the time, I think I know more than they do. But I do like the fact that I can order something online and pick it up at the store.

BAd Service Micro Center is so untrain. THey give me the run around when i was here to buy a mini IPod for my girl friend. The counter people who got the ipod told me to go to the computer department, and the computer told me to go to the counter. It took 15 min more for this tranactions then it would have. Very BAD
Great Buy I have made several purchases from Microcenter in the past year. I never had any problem. Merchandise has always brand new. For the most part the prices are really good. They always have a good clearance section; whole full isles full of clearance items. They also off $50 off $50 for any purchase, $75 off ipod, or $100 off motherboard combo, if you sign up for their credit card. The only downside is they are located too far away from my house.
Great Price for an IPOd Micro Center is a super computer store. It not big as Fry but it does give Fry run for it money. Micro Center got the promotion of $75 rebate for all ipod. I recently drop by and took the offer and got a shuffle ipod for 30$ with tax. It is a great price compare what other people pay. The only bad part is that you need to sign up for a Micro Center credit card.
