Very helpful and friendly service
When I have gone to get unemployment assistance at the Midland branch. I get 1 minute and then the assistant flutters like a bee to someone else. Then comes back for another minute and I'm still waiting for assistance. This happens till I'm the last one there and then I finally got some help and what should of been 10 min turned into 30 min or more. I have had snarky people on the phone . No help to people who recently got hired, with work supplies and clothing. Thumbs down.
Michigan Works is excellent for one seeking employment. Good quality computers for ten people at a time. Telephone when needed. Dedicated and knowledgeable staff to assist. Many flyers and information sheets and booklets to guide into a job and develop or start a (new) career. Workshops that are led by experienced leaders into developing skills that can be applied in interviews for jobs and in working a job when one gets it. Workers were rude and not helpful at all. Workers were standing around doing nothing and would not help.
