I had an account their and moved out of state, I closed my account and I had a refund coming from AAA travel back in 2018. I have my recent email from AAA that states it got refunded back to my Mastercard debit that was connected to my checking account. It shows accepted by Michigan First Credit Union and never returned back to AAA . I have been fighting for 4 years to get it back. I even checked Michigan unclaimed money every year to see if it would pop up and NOTHING.
I got auto-loan with Michigan First. Apparently they opened another, savings, account along with loan account without my consent. And guess what, they started charging me insufficient fund fees. etc. I never intended or signed for savings account. As the representative said, it comes "for free" with membership. if you do not mind paying ridiculous hidden fees and gotchas, this bank is for you. Otherwise look somewhere else.
MICHIGAN FIRST CREDIT UNION, has provided me with the WORST banking experiences of my life. I would NEVER recommend my family and friends to bank here with their hard earned money. I regret the decision to bting business here and will definitely be making strides to go elsewhere. It is clear that MFCU doesn't value my patronage, as evidenced by the lack of concern and effort the reps and management offers. You all ought to be ashamed.

I agree with Michael--"I have never been more disappointed by a banking establishment". They tack on fees for services like paying over the phone without even telling their members ahead of time that they are charging a fee. When I said I'd be happy figuring out another way to pay if the fee was waived this time. I have been a member for 9 years with this credit union and I love it!!!!. Everyone is always so nice and helpful in person and on the phone. I would not bank anywhere else ever!!!.

The Customer Service Representatives deliver the true character of professionalism. Also, applying and receiving a loan is easy as 1,2,3.
