I like the new doctor Dr. Gelman, his friendly, people person. Staffs are friendly as well. Treat their patients professionally and with respect.
Let the buyer beware. I have a preventative diabetic eye exam which is 100% covered under Health Alliance plan with 0 deductible. In the past Michigan Eye Institute provided this service for me and billed my insurance appropriately but no longer. It is the new policy of Michigan Eye Institute to bill not only a (copay) if you have one, but also bill a percentage of your deductible. Speaking with the billing department they indicated that this is now common practice even though your insurance may cover 100% of the procedure. ... read more
4:49pm the day before Food Friday and I have an eye issue. I was not a current patient. They got me in for a 7:50am appointment on Good Friday and got me all taken care of with an exam, diagnosis, medication and a hot press. Everyone was super friendly and happy! I’ll be back for an eye test and glasses once I heal from this tear duct issue.
