OMG!!! After reading another review about being a woman of color and receiving sub par care from Dr Tucker, I will share my experience as I too am a woman of color. She did a pap smear and I could feel the swab do about 20-30 scrapes so I commented “ it tickles . Dr. Tucker is no less than amazing. I had a very difficult hysterectomy and Dr. Tucker handled it perfectly. She is kind, caring, and she truly listens to her patients. Best of the Best!

I’m struggling right now with the reality that black women experience mistreatment or some form of discrimination in the healthcare system at a rate 61% higher than any other demographic. I personally have experienced this when talking with my gynecologist (white woman) about menopause symptoms and HRT (hormone replacement therapy). I watched my mother struggle for a year trying to get pain-saving medication for her menopause symptoms. She was told the medicine was “really expensive” and her symptoms were down-played. If you are black, Michelle Tucker is not the doctor for you. She’ll think you don’t deserve the care she’s able to give.
