I saw Dr. Benoit three times. The first visit was a good and positive experience. He seemed caring and very eager to help me. I had a distal radius fracture in 2021. I am left with fingers that don’t go all the way straight and I can’t spread my fingers apart. I have a great deal of weakness and ulna sided wrist pain. I also have permanent nerve damage that was confirmed by an EMG test. My second visit was discouraging, I felt as though I was not seeing the same doctor. He ordered an MRI. I don's usually leave reviews. The staff was nice and the doctor's demeanor was ok. But I had lacerated my tendon in my thumb. It was a week before I had my surgery. Later returning to have the stitches removed. ...went through PT. Then during a follow-up I told him that I felt like there was still a stitch in my thumb. He said no, that they counted all the stitches when they were removed. I regret not reading these reviews before having my surgery. I am not happy with the results of the surgery, with the brusque and dismissive way I've been treated by both Dr. B and his staff.
No. I would not recommend him. I was very sorry that he did my hand surgery.
excellent surgeon. not warm and fuzzy. he does not want to be your friend, but he has skills worth seeking out. he repaired a thumb joint that other surgeons thought only could be fused.
He was helpful in diagnosing and treating an injury that had gone misdiagnosed previously at another office. Explained condition and surgery well. Was helpful during recovery. Had excellent outcome from difficult surgery.
terrible. doesn't listen. doesn't talk. doesn't explain. just a horrible, terrible doctor. i would say he's the opposite of what a good doctor should be, i truly mean that. i have a lot of regrets. he's hurt me, he's wasted my time. he's failed to treat everything. he pushed for surgery with zero diagnosis or testing. i met a former colleague of his who told me he drives a porsche turbo and a ferrari. interesting.
Had hand surgery and the results were great. Having my other hand done. Would recommend him to everyone.
Poor listener. Defensive. Dismissive of any conversation about surgical advances.
