I’ve been seeing Dr. Wu for nearly a decade during the darkest times in my life and he has been incredibly helpful to my healing journey. He always takes the time to listen and see me as a whole person. His approach is more conservative than other psychiatrists I’ve seen, which I appreciate. I saw this psychiatrist through my university about a year or so ago because I was struggling with what I suspected were OCD symptoms—intrusive thoughts, compulsions, and constant mental rumination. I explained what I was experiencing, but instead of exploring it with me, he dismissed it with the comment “Well, you know those thoughts aren’t real, right?” That felt invalidating and unhelpful.
