Love him. Caring and compassionate. So glad to have him and love Pricilla too.
I have seen Dr. Smitherman twice now. He was very professional and explained that everything going on with me was due to RA. He also explained what we were gonna do medication wise now and later. His office personnel were all amazing. And he seemed to truly care about helping me feel better and not hurt.
One of the worst medical experiences I have had with a medical professional. My symptoms were largely ignored in the sub-5 min appointment and after chasing him down for a phone call to review my bloodwork, he again offered me prescription medication for symptoms I repeatedly told him I do not have and was increasingly frustrated that I called to understand my diagnosis. Dismissive and overall poor communication and patient care. He seemed to be annoyed that I had the audacity to want to understand my health.
I miss having him in Atlanta. He was the best doctor I’ve had, always taking the time to listen and ensure I received the proper care.
From day one he listened, pondered, researched, and came up with treatments for the thousand things I have going on. Dr. Mike is your man. None better.
