Always listens. Very wise and personable.
I previously left a 1-star review due to the hospital billing practices, but the matter has been resolved to my satisfaction. Since I cannot update that review I am leaving a follow up review to accurately reflect my respect and appreciation for Doctor Nagata as a physician, and his thoughtful care and approach to his patients. As a warning, make sure to get billing details and insurance matters resolved ahead of time to save the pain that I encountered due to an improper billing classification!
It pains me to write this review, as I do respect and was a happy patient of Doctor Nagata's, but his office's billing practices and follow through are terrible. I visited for a "minor" healthy travel consultation that was approximately 10 minutes, and was encouraged to get an immunization. Imagine my surprise when my insurance was billed close to $1000 for the visit--including $500+ for the visit alone and ANOTHER $75 to administer the shot, which itself was over $400 (also exorbitant, and not clarified in advance). Friendly and helpful staff. I find Dr. Nagata to be very kind and efficient doctor who cares for his patients.
Dr. Nagata is great. He is calm and direct. He takes care of our family.
Dr. Nagata is thorough and knowledgeable. When I'm traveling, he really trouble-shoots and thinks of what medications I should have on hand beforehand, including scheduling me for the appropriate immunizations. I've never had someone be so pro-active about my health. He really sees the big picture. He's easy to talk to. I like that in a Doctor.
I have been a patient of Dr Nagata for over 20 years. He has been involved in my mental and physical well being through many of my life's challenges. I recommend him to any and all family and friends. He is a true compassionate professional.
