Michael adjusted my instrument with care, helped me select hardware to improve the tone, and was very clear and professional. He has a lovely shop, he's kind and extremely helpful. I'd absolutely go to him for more work or a new instrument.

I made an appointment to try some of Mike's violins without any prior knowledge or referral, and I was astounded by the quality and reasonable prices of his inventory. As I pulled my violin out to compare it to his collection, he noticed that my soundpost was very poorly positioned, and offered to adjust it free of charge. He brought my violin back to life, knowing full well that improving the sound of my instrument could have cost him a sale. If you are in the market for an instrument, this shop is certainly worth a visit!
I brought my violin to Mike to repair a broken string and I still can’t believe my luck for finding his shop, He is amazing—master craftsman, great person, incredible service. Mike fixed problems with my violin I didn’t even know about and it sounds better than even now. His shop is beautiful. I wish I had known about his shop before I bought my violin. I will be back when I am ready for my next one!
Michael was wonderful with my violin! He took the time to test out a few different options to improve the tone and was wonderful to work with. Highly recommend him for anyone who needs luthier services in the MA/RI/CT area!
