I'm leaving this review because my GP said, "You are in good hands with Dr. Katz" and she was right. And I want people who are nervous and googling their doctors to know that as well. I recently had a total thyroidectomy with Dr. Katz. He was calm, reassuring, straight-forward, skilled, professional and occasionally funny. He explained everything thoroughly and 4 weeks out I can actually look at my incision and not feel like a pez dispenser.
Dr Katz although not issuing good news did do in a compassionate manner, was very understanding and gave an explicit pedestrian explanation of what to do and what comes next
I have used Dr Katz for the last few years and have a great experience with him. He is very professional and takes the time to answer questions that I've had at every appointment. I have also had sinus surgery as well as a stapedectomy done by Dr Katz in the last two years and both were successful surgeries. He is a highly skilled surgeon!
Dr. Katz has terrible bedside manners. My doctor referred me to him for a Thyroid biopsy. When he used the needle to numb my throat area, I was in ALOT of pain and told him so. He tried several times to perform the procedure and became upset and impatient with me when I moved my neck due to the pain. At one point telling me I'd probably need to reschedule and use general anesthesia. He performed the procedure, but I'll never go back. I'd rather visit a great doctor with great bedside manners
Dr.Katz,gets right to the point.Explains your problem,and what needs to be done.The rest is up to you.I chose surgery,had it done on 4/22/2016.I had no problems during or after surgery.Had my 2nd follow up appointment,5/17/2016.breathing 100% better,after seeing Dr.Katz,and following his advice,on surgery.????????????
