Appointment started 25 minutes late. Absolute waste of time. He is so condescending and spends the entire appointment talking at you. He tries to bait you into answering his questions the he wants. He thinks every person has TMJ due to sleep and anxiety problems. He also thinks if you aren’t in constant pain you’re fine. Barely looks at you, the least thorough exam I’ve ever received. Dr. Robins provides an excellent overview of condition and how to resolve. He provides practical, to the point, and very relevant information to continuing sound health. Listened well and provided solid feedback with suggestions on materials to read related to my situation.
Waited 20 mins past my appointment tike only for him to tell me my issues are poor sleep and anxiety/stress….. I wish doctors actually tried to help patients these days. I was written off quickly and I could tell he just wanted to get me out the door as quickly as possible. such a waste of time.
I would never recommend him to any patients !
The staff I interacted with before Dr. Robins were informative, helpful, and polite. Dr. Robins, though, was condescending and pretentious. During our hour long appointment, he complained to me about other patients who did not take his advice, discussed his life philosophies with me, gave me a book recommendation (unsurprisingly not for an oral or maxillofacial book), and informed me that remedying my TMJ would, in fact, not fix all of my problems. I have been to Dr grau for the removal of a tooth on two occasions. I've never met a more compassionate doctor he explains everything and is even willing to come into the office on days off if I have a problem. As he is getting older I just hope he does not retire anytime soon. I think he would be irreplaceable.
RecommendedDr. Grau and staff are awesome! I’ve been to him in 2013 and again Sept. 10, 2020. He’s caring and highly skilled. My wisdom tooth extraction was over in a matter of minutes and I had NO PAIN afterwards even after the local anesthetic wore off! I was eating real food for dinner the same day! As long as Dr. Grau is still doing oral surgery, I’ll never go to anyone else. He’s the best!!!

I am positively flabbergasted. Dr. Grau extracted a molar in under 40 seconds. He had the expertise to numb me correctly and I had zero pain. I have had the other three extracted with a great deal of suffering, prying and trauma by another DDS. One was extracted by my dentist in September, and he was unable to properly anesthetize the area and I was forced to white-knuckle an extraction that took nearly ten minutes.
