Dr. Costello saved my life not once but twice 15 months apart, 18 yrs ago. (2005-2006) I will forever be grateful my surgeries were life threatening. Doctor Costello is the best surgeon i have ever had the pleasure of being treated by. His expertise in his field is unsurpassed. He's stright forward and tells it like it is. I wouldn't want a doctor who's more concerned about my feeling than my health. I would recommend him to all who needed a gastroenterologist. Lawnwood is lucky to have him. Dr. Castillo is no longer in practice I found out yesterday that he has retired. I am going to miss him because he was the best doctor for all my issues. He was an excellent surgeon and even though when you went to his office you had to wait a long time before you can see him the wait was worth it. He is so deserving of a great retirement and time to spend with his wife and family. Thank you Dr. Castillo for always being there for me I hope I can find somebody that is even half as good as you are.
I had an appointment with this doctor in which I waited for 2 hours for him only to tell me that I was fat. Later I learned that I had herniated disc which caused a lot of pain and swelling to my legs. Then he wanted me to pay his co-pay in which I was so angry I left. I think this doctor has a horrible bedside manner and should probably check his patients before assuming that their patient is just over weight. People go to the doctor for answers not insults.
