First and foremost, Dr. Iwanicki was very understanding and accommodating to my mental health issues and severe fear. He was able to get a laugh out of me while I was essentially having a meltdown. He's excellent at making people feel safe and comfortable. I could tell that he genuinely cares about each and every one of his patients, even the really needy ones. I had two umbilical hernia repairs done before by another surgent (2018 and 2019.) I met Dr. Iwanicki to discuss what were my options for the third umbilical hernia repair, he answered all my questions and he was so honest. My surgery has been so far a success (going on three weeks post-surgery.) He explained everything in a way that I was able to understand, and he was so professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Michael Iwaniki is a gifted, brilliant surgeon. I met him when my husband was admitted in an emergency situation last October. Dr. Iwanicki preformed diverticulosis surgery on my husband today. He is a hidden jewel at Good Samaritan. Thank you so much....
