I first met Dr Katopes when I was doing a nursing internship about 25 years ago. He was a wonderful and patient mentor. I really learned a lot about medicine and Katopes, the man. Now here I am again as a geriatric patient back with the doctor I trust. God likes playing little tricks on us! I've got a lot of things wrong with me now----a real challenge----and I KNOW my pal can handle it. I'm looking forward to continuing my care with a doctor I know and trust.

Terrible service from this Doctor and his office! They are more concerned about collecting money than anything else! Horrible! He needs to retire because he doesn't have what it takes any more!

On my last physical Dr. Katopes took me to the lab for blood draw and he left for the day before even examining me for my annual physical. The had to call him to come back to the office to do my physical exam. I do not know what was wrong with him but if this happens on my current physical, more than likely I will seek another WellStar physician.

This office has recently made changes to some of their staff, which was a good change! I love seeing all of the kind caring faces now. Dr Katopes has been my doctor for ever, but over the past few years he had hired some individuals that I did not care for, on his front desk and a PA as well. Now that they are gone, I will not hesitate to use this doctor. It’s sad that a few bad apples can change someone’s opinion of a business; but Dr K fixed the problem and got rid of trouble makers!

Very impressed with this entire staff. They have 2 doctors who seems very genuine and concerned about their patients. All of the front desk and nurses were constantly checking in on me and even called me a few days after my visit to see if I was feeling better! I have found my new family doctor! They remind me a an old time doctors office where everyone knows you; but they are up to date with state of the art Xray and equipment. The best of both worlds! Thank you Woodpark!

This office is horrible for communication. Had a physical scheduled, no one called or emailed the day before to give instructions for fasting or drinking. Given a very brief overview of physical results. With no opportunity to ask questions about results. And was told they wanted me to come back in two weeks for another "Test". Asked if my insurance would cover it and would the office call my insurance to see if this "Test" was covered. Was told no. I could call them myself.

Based on 30 years experience with this physician and the practice staff I highly recommend Dr. Katopes. Competence out weighs bedside manner. See other staff for bedside manner. Consistent accurate diagnosis, effective treatment and caring manner. I have observed treatment from a two year old to 60 year old; emergency to annual physical. Overall you will not find better or more convenient care than from this practice. Friendly and professional staff. Innovative when appropriate.

I just moved here from Baltimore. I have a very painful conditions. So I ask if he can give me my meds till I can find a pain Dr he said he didn't know if he could. So I had to drive back to Baltimore 2 times to get my meds.

Doctor and nurse staff great. Customer service and office manager terrible. Our family will never return.
