I recently got "the call" for a kidney transplant from Hackensack Meridian Hospital.. my Doctor would be Dr Michael Fruscione. What can I say... he is the very very best at what he does! He has amazing surgical skills, a wonderful bedside manner, ability to explain every single part of what is being done to you, which is incredibly important when you are anxious & scared. I had my kidney transplant on 1/21/24. I have never wrote a review until now for anything. M First of I was referred to Hackensack by my girlfriend. I had asked for Dr Goldstein to perform surgery however he became unavailable. Dr Fruscione performed my surgery and I couldn’t be happier!! He constantly visited me after the surgery to make sure I was doing well. He made the incision so well that all my doctors compliment on how well it looks. Remarkable surgeon and person. Dr. Fruscione is one of a kind. He is a top-notch surgeon, a great communicator, available for questions, and very positive( never in a false way). He was the surgeon to do my husband’s recent kidney transplant. Which initially went well. My husband got pneumonia and ended back in the hospital. Through the whole process, Dr. Fruscione was there, knowledgeable, And in my opinion, although the whole trans plant team was great, he stood out.
