On Monday, October 6th, at approximately 9:00 PM, I visited the ER. Over the weekend, I had been experiencing a severe sinus headache and chest congestion. After being seen by the ER doctor, she recommended that I schedule an appointment with my primary care provider. She indicated that I likely had a cold or possibly COVID, but she only listened to my heart and lungs. No complaints since I have been coming here. I expect long wait times so I bring my laptop, book, etc to keep me busy. I know I will be here most of my day, but it gets the job done.
I want to give attention and praise to the in patient spinal cord injury medical team at the Michael E. DeBakey VA medical Center. My brother in law is a patient there and my husband and I visited him for the first time this week, as we are from out of town. The staff, and I mean everyone, are not only excellently skilled, but they are incredibly caring and sympathetic to the patient's needs while exhibiting the highest standards of patient care.
