I waited for my appointment for over a month being told I only needed a referral. I got there , the referral was there and she said no authorization, wattt? Essence wouldn't give one on the phone all the while this should have been taken care b4 I got there so I asked if there's any way at all to be seen that day? NO! The next available time is the end of April! I retired from Mercy South I've done the same exact job, I'd never turn a patient away not ever.....
Just to preface this: I'm writing this review in January 2026, partially in response to all the 1-2 star reviews for Dr. Snyder at this office. Please note that most of these reviews are in response to qualities of his office or the Mercy care system, and not reflections on the doctor himself. I met with the nurse practitioner four months ago regarding issues with tinnitus among other things as it would take even longer to get into see the doctor, but this at least got my foot in the door. Fast-forward to today and the doctor tells me he doesn’t treat the condition. How did his nurse practitioner not know this? So unbelievably disappointed and dissatisfied with this office. They never ever pick up their phone, returning request on MyMercy takes days, they do not follow through at all with what they say they will do. The doctor doesn’t directly handle all of this I’m aware, but he also shouldn’t be so obvious to realize nothing is getting accomplished properly. I was referred to him by my Orthopedist but couldn't get an appointment for about 6 months. After waiting all of that time I got a call 3 days before telling me that he can't see me for what I was coming for. Really, nobody knew that before 6 months have passed? My records were already forwarded long before for review.
