I came in with a recurring injury to the neck that limited mobility. X rays didn't show anything and Krauss couldn't figure out the issue so his suggestion was "pop some ibuprofen when it hurts". He provided no further explanation or help. This is an injury that leaves me immobilized for days when it gets bad. Ibuprofen is not a long-term solution...Felt like he just shrugged me off since I'm young and healthy despite this injury.
Don't plan on him helping you if you have Medicaid. Being a surgeon himself, told us we would have a hard time finding someone to fix my husband, as he didn't want to lose money and neither does anyone else. Did extremely little to help my husband with his injury or pain.
This physician is irresponsible. Dr. Michael Krauss, MD served as the "Team Doctor" for The West Lafayette Football Team during the 2013 season. At this time, I was a sophomore (age 16) playing middle linebacker for this same football team. I subluxed (partial dislocated) my shoulder during the 3rd game of our season (Delphi 9/6/2013). Both my husband and I have went to Dr. Krauss for several years. I’ve been treated for a broken bone in my hand and one in my foot and have had xrays in his office. My husband saw Dr. Krauss when he was having severe pain in his shoulder and it was Dr. Krauss that pinpointed the issue to a crushed vertebrae in his cervical spine area and ordered an MRI that confirmed this with subsequent referral to the spinal surgeon.
