Doctor Canning and his staff are excellent. I went to his office after a painful end of my Christmas vacation to Colorado. He saw me and operated within 2 days. I am glad I met Doctor Canning and his friendly staff. I am doing really well and my scars are already fading away.
I was referred to Dr. Canning for gall bladder surgery...and ended up very grateful! Dr. Canning and his staff have a fantastic approach to customer care and keeping you informed...at every point of the journey, they left me feeling well accommodated, informed, confident about the procedure...and most importantly, Dr. Canning is the surgeon you want on your side and with you in the OR! I cannot say enough good about Dr Canning and his team. Don't go anywhere else!

Dr. Canning is a truly special doctor. Skilled, personable, and compassionate. Unfortunately, my family has had their large share of medical needs so I can speak frankly due to years of experience. Dr. Canning was referred to me by my trusted ob/gyn of 20 years, and he has been one of the best medical referrals yet. I initially contacted Dr. Canning to perform surgery on my son, but I had special concerns because he has a chronic illness. Dr. Canning was knowledgeable, patient, and GREAT!
Amazing staff! The friendliest and sweetest staff I have ever encountered. Dr. Canning is great, he’s very laid back & funny. He takes his time with you & answers all your questions straight forward. I had to have surgery and from the start the hospital staff raved about him being a great surgeon. My surgery went great, I was up & walking around an hour after recovery & I had little discomfort & my wounds have been healing beautifully.
My son had his gallbladder removed by Dr. Michael Canning. Our experience with Dr. Canning and his team, especially Jessica and Jennifer, could not have been better. This survey permits a maximum rate of 5 stars, but I would like to give him one thousand. I also talked about him with the nurses at Baptist Hospital, and his reputation couldn’t be better. “his patients rarely have to go to intensive care”. He gives his patients a lot of attention and clearly cares about their well-being.
I just had my gallbladder removed a week ago by Dr. Canning and my experience was beyond expected. The doctor is amazing, he answered all my questions and concerns and even my daughter's question about his grades in middle school. His staff also very nice and courteous I felt I was in good hands all the time. Highly recommended doctor.
Amazing surgeon. Made sure I understood what was wrong with me, and gave me a lot of attention. Would definitely recommend him !
