I found Dr.Fu and the HSS in general to be a completely different experience to anywhere I had gone before. Yes its a pain to get into NYC but the attention to detail is in a different world, and the doctors/surgeons are all at the very top in their field (I also had 2 knee replacements there with a different doctor). Dr.Fu clearly explained the process to me for my shoulder surgery and the timescales for recovery, and he was spot on.
