When I was diagnosed last year with Invasive Lobular Breast Carcinoma and was told that I had to have a double mastectomy with reconstruction, I though my life was over. That was until I met Dr. Cheung. Not only is he one of the most compassionate doctors I have met, but his surgical skills are second to none. Cheung claimed he has the best post operative care of any doctor. I asked what that consists of, and he said he'll see me the night of surgery and then the week after. I said that's not the best, I've consulted with another doctor who would see me the day after surgery, 3 days after and then a week after that. Cheung says "oh well I didn't know you were out of town" I said yes, I told you that 5 minutes ago, remember? Then he asks if I want a quote. I inquired about en bloc capsulectomy vs total casulectomy and he attempted to convince me that they were "the same thing, the only difference is marketing" I've watched videos and they are very much different. It's horrible for a surgeon to attempt to use their expertise to mislead people into agreeing to dissect their breasts! I disagreed and he hung up the video consultation with me! Best surgeon I ever met. Great bed side manner, caring and knowledgeable. He truly cares about his patients. 3 years ago, I had a breast reduction with another surgeon. That surgeon left a needle in my breast. I went to Dr Cheung scared, skeptical and full of anxiety. He reassured me and made me feel comfortable. The day of the surgery he spoke with me to make sure I was okay and texted me there after to ensure I was okay. If you want the red glove treatment, he is your surgeon. I’m glad I found him.
