Would definitely recommend this place to 18+ due to some inappropriate artifacts and maybe lack of interest. If you want to read and see every artifact, should take about 3-4 hours.
Neat ancient collections, favorite was Egypt's. You only need 1-1.5 hours to see pretty much everything. Special exhibit was underwhelming. Fulton Library provides free pass up to 6 people which we used to get in.
This is one of the best history museums in Atlanta. It’s a joy to visit this museum and see the different exhibits. So much history in one place. The atmosphere gives the quintessential museum experience. Moody, quiet, lots to explore. I love coming here on a rainy day because the walk up to the building is magical on the Emory campus. Also a very affordable museum experience. Definitely try this one out for yourself.
