I went to him with severe abdominal pain and he basically refused to do a colonoscopy, even though I was nearing 50. Instead, he wrote a list of things for me to do. None of them worked. When I returned for a follow up, it was clear he’d forgotten what he’d advised me to do. I ended up going to another GI doctor who did a colonoscopy and, eventually, an endoscopy and found I had an ulcer. Dr. Urchin truly failed in his “treatment” of me.
I see a few negative reviews but I have been a patient for a number of years. He is kind, caring and intelligent. Knows his area of specialty. Highly recommended.
Dr. Ruchim is outstanding! A very kind and patient physician and gentleman who listens carefully, was genuinely interested in my concerns, and provided thoughtful feedback during this 1st office visit.. Dr. Ruchim was welcoming and cordial the moment he walked into the examining room. Above all, an excellent diagnostician who explained everything thoroughly and put me at ease. I think he is "The Gold Standard" of gastroenterologists! The office staff is efficient, friendly and helpful,.
This office is very poorly run. The staff is rude and insensitive . Dr Ruchims policy is no appointment without a credit card as clearly the priority is making money and not caring for patients. if youre in a hurry dont call this office!
He diagnosed a very difficult problem that others could not figure out. He spent a lot of time with me and showed a lot of compassion.
Dr.Ruchim does not follow-up with his patient,.even after writing instructions, for his patient instructions to purchase items for treatment. He does not honor appointments. After the recommended treatment....he told me to call his office and inform him how the it worked.The office visit appeared to to go well....When I called to inform of the treatment.He told me I was not his patient. I was ill and had to find another doctor. what did he expect me to do, after following his recommendations?
Only in office Mondays and Wednesdays. So if you leave a message on Wednesday, there is at least a 5 day wait for a callback.
4 days, 3 messages later with no callback. Need endoscopy asap. Had to find another MD.
