Dr. Novak was very thorough with his examination and explained everything to me so I could understand my problems
I had a very positive experience at this office. From the moment I arrived, the staff made sure I understood everything that was happening and what to expect next. I came in with a recent diagnosis of Diabetic Retinopathy, and naturally had a lot of concerns. Dr. Novak took the time to address all of them. He was incredibly kind, patient, and thorough. Im on the fence with this Doctor, he seemed somewhat impersonal, upon my first visit, and I confirmed it on my second visit. There was a coldness there, and not just from his un-gloved hands. Being a Black woman I have experienced this type of subliminal discrimination all of my adult life while being a patient of male caucasian doctors. That is why I prefer to be seen by only, female doctors even if they are caucasian, they seem to hide their personal race issues better then their caucasian male counterparts.
