Reception and office manager extremely rude and would not make me an appointment unless I had a recent mri. A consultation should be a start and the rest is to follow. They would not make me an appointment unless I had recent studies. Very poor office especially being a new patient and not being able to make an appointment. Your front desk staff is the first you speak to and see. They should be more understanding and respectful towards new patients. I found a new doctor to go to. I would never refer this office to anyone.
I went to see Dr. Lefkowitz to see if he could help me with my chronic upper back pain. At my first visit, he made sure to study my previous MRI films. He found a spot which he called a blood vessel problem in my spine and refused to give me the name of it, because he "didnt want to worry me." He then sends me for a bunch of tests to rule this problem out. Dr. Lefkowitz saved me from a life of pain and agony. I lived with extreme pain for 20 years. Dr. Lefkowitz operated on me in 2015 and I am living a pain free life since. I can not recommend him enough. I refer all my patients to him now- if you have back pain, Dr. Lefkowitz is the doctor to see.
I had back surgery last week with dr Lefkowitz.This was my second since 2014.He is very professional and explain everything came in after surgery and said all went smoothly .i was able to walk the next day and healing slowly.I highly recommend Dr Lefkowitz
This is my 2nd surgery with Dr Lefkowitz. First was 2012 on my lumbar, multi level laminectomy and discectomy. I remain pain free. This Wednesday he did a cervical discectomy and fusion, multi level. This guy has MAGIC HANDS. All the pain in my arm, shoulder, neck, fingers was gone just like that. Pain was minimal. Dr L is kind, gentle, caring and is the best neurosurgeon out there. .Its quite a trip from my home but it’s well worth it.
Last week I had acdf neck surgery-I had 3levels done .The operation was long and I was in recovery overnight.Dr. Lefkowitz came into recovery and gave me a brief rundown of all the work that was done and to reassure me everything went well.He is kind and professional and will spend the time to answer your questions.Recovery is going to take time but I am very confident at the work that Dr. Lefkowitz did.
Dr. Lefkowitz preformed a C4-C5 anterior cervical discectomy and fusion on me this week (11/9/16) at North Shore University Hospital. My condition was deemed to be urgent and I was naturally extremely anxious. Doctor Lefkowitz was gentle, compassionate and reassuring. The operation was textbook perfect, and I was home THE NEXT DAY with very little discomfort. I researched my options very carefully, and could have not chosen a more competent physician.
