I brought my fiancé in for ear irrigation, due to ear pain and, we waited for more than an hour, while the staff were laughing and joking around. He got extremely agitated during the hour plus wait time. Literally ZERO hurry to get things done here. Would not recommend. We will not be back.

MVH Austin Blvd ER refused to test me for West Nile virus, even though it was the only reason that I went there. They took my temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, told me to take ibuprofen, and sent me on my way. They charged me ~$1,000, on top of my United Health Care insurance. I spent a year fighting the fee, and was denied and threatened with collections. It's a pricey place for Advil.

I’ve been to this hospital twice, and unfortunately, both visits were disappointing. I understand how challenging healthcare can be (I used to work at OSU), but the bedside manner here is severely lacking. Each time, the nurses came across as rude and irritated that I was even there. Both visits were for serious, extremely painful conditions, kidney stones and appendicitis, and when I begged for pain relief, a nurse scoffed before finally bringing medication. I took my girlfriend to Miami Valley Hospital Emergency Department for a follow up C.T. scan after she she sustained a head injury due to a fall. ( She had a C.T. scan 24 hrs earlier that showed a possible Subdural Hematoma.) We arrived around 9:30 p.m. and the ER was virtually empty to we were taken to a room immediately.
