My wife and I have been on four MHO trips and have had uniformly excellent experiences every time. On a canoe trip many things are left to chance--weather, water conditions, bugs, etc. But MHO excels in making sure that the other factors are carefully attended to. They provide good equipment in good condition. If you're used to mediocre food on camping trips, you'll be amazed at what an experienced wilderness chef can cook up on a campfire with a few kettles and a dutch oven. Bloodvein River, Manitoba, July 2024. Great trip! My 10th with MHO guides. Our group of 8 bonded quickly. Logistics were excellent with Winnipeg as meet-up and departure point. Weather cooperated. Getting to/from the Bloodvein was well done. Èmy and Nick, our guides, were spectacular. Meals, an MHO specialty, were excellent and clients with dietary concerns were accommodated. Trip on Bloodvein River in Manitoba was challenging for intermediate paddlers. Beautiful river with a lot of water. Group and guides were all great.
The whitewater paddling course last weekend was excellent. Our guides were safety conscious and really conveyed their love of the water in their teaching and encouragement. The equipment provided was clean and in good condition. Food was great. Highly recommended! That was from June.
