Completing my Wilderness First Responder course at MHO was awesome. The staff were friendly, the food was great, and the bunkie was the perfect option for staying on site. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!
I didn't go on a trip with them, but I did stay here during my Wilderness First Responder course, and it was excellent! The food was amazing, the people were friendly, and the facilities worked well for the course. I stayed in a tent, and while there are not a lot of flat areas to tent, I was able to find a fairly comfortable spot. Overall, I highly recommend MHO - they seem to be friendly, organized, and they know what they're doing!
My wife and I have been on four MHO trips and have had uniformly excellent experiences every time. On a canoe trip many things are left to chance--weather, water conditions, bugs, etc. But MHO excels in making sure that the other factors are carefully attended to. They provide good equipment in good condition. If you're used to mediocre food on camping trips, you'll be amazed at what an experienced wilderness chef can cook up on a campfire with a few kettles and a dutch oven.
