It's pretty much my first stop every time I go to my favorite city.
We really enjoyed our visit. Mr Meyer took his time to carefully measure and recommend several choices.
A very eclectic and interesting merchandise available. Well worth shopping there and viewing the items there as well as experiencing the neighborhood.
It's a little crazy to mention a hat shop as a must-visit destination but Meyer the Hatter is exactly that. It's staffed by third? fourth? generation hatters who clearly have hats in their DNA. Great selection, good prices, peerless service and a very fun experience. And if you walk out with a hat on your head, it's just an added bonus.

Undoubtably the best hat store in New Orleans, or, as they like to say and I'm sure it's true, in the South. Go talk to a third, fourth, or fifth generation hatter for style and fit and an extensive, extensive collection. You can buy a cheap hat in the French Quarter, or you can buy a real hat at Meyer the Hatter. I live in New Orleans. When I want to add to my large hat collection, there's only one place I shop anymore. With a tip of my fedora to the good folks at Meyer the Hatter.
Can't go to NOLA without pilgrimage to Meyer The Hatter � Came home with a Mayser 'crafted in Ecuador' Panama, just the thing for Spring in Louisiana!
