Have been switching around salons in NYC for the last 4 years and haven’t been able to find a stylist I really like. Stumbled upon Mey on instagram and found Masa! I’ve had two haircuts here now and definitely will keep coming back!
The hair result was fine, but the pricing was dishonest. I was told the treatment would be $120, but I was later charged $150 without any explanation. At checkout, they only showed me a calculator with “$390” and no breakdown. I had to specifically ask for a receipt, and only then they sent me this SMS (screenshot attached). Masa was my stylist, it was my first time at Mey and it was SUCH a wonderful experience! Masa has such kind and gentle energy, and was so intentional and precise when cutting my hair. Also scalp massage during shampoo was SOOO nice. I LOVE my haircut (a bob) and I LOVED my time there!
I'm really happy with the blunt bob haircut I got from Suguru. He took his time to understand what I wanted, and the haircut never felt rushed from start to finish. I have a lot of hair so it's not the easiest to work with. He's also really personable and easy to chat with and gave good advice on how to easily take care of my hair which was very helpful for someone who's really lazy with hair maintenance. Would highly recommend!
