Don't waste your money!! Rude, rude, rude! We've been to Mexican Tile & Stone Company in Tucson three times and they are about as stuck-up and snotty as can be. Their prices per tile are the same as most stores' prices per square foot! We had twice been given a quote for saltillo tile for our house, but when we went back in to get the tiles they said the quote was wrong and wanted to raise the price by 20%! We certainly will not be wasting our money here. For decorative tiles we recommend Mexican Garden or Mi Casa, and for f... read more
Worst of Tucson RUDE indifferent employees, and an even worse manager. Meager selection, overpriced, and only give store credit for returns, even if it is tile they continuously stock off the shelves. The parent company in Phoenix must have really deep pockets to keep this store open because this place is AWFUL!
AWFUL! This place is awful! We bought some decorative tiles here for our bathroom. They won't let you "handpick" tiles, but when we got them home some of the tiles were so crooked and warped that we couldn't even use them. Mexican Tile Company refused to exchange them and said that's just the "character" of Talavera tiles. I'm sorry - Talavera tiles don't have to be so crooked that you can't use them! We had to throw them out and go buy other tiles elsewhere. The other place turned out to be much cheaper and friendlier also!
Great service and selection I've been to Mexican Tile and Stone twice, most recently just yesterday (4/7/2011). Donna helped me pick out some border tiles for my tile mural. She offered many creative options, and spent a good deal of time with me to find the tiles that worked best. She was cheerful and didn't complain when I kept her past closing time as I wrapped up my order. I would definitely return for future projects and would recommend this store! Perhaps the past complaints were directed at other staff that has since ... read more
Tile Anyone? Who says that chains have the best price on tile b/c they can buy the largest quantity? The prices at Mexican Tile & Stone are competitive if not cheaper than their box store counterparts. And... as an added bonus, for all of the non tiling experts - everyone who works there is an expert. They can help choose what tile, the finish, the final look and they will even given you directions from start to finish on installation and use of all their products. I've been there multiple times for multiple projects and can... read more
