You should go at least once Disclaimer: I hate museums. Museums are generally painful for me. And to have to pay to get into one, well, that just takes the cake. world class museum The Metropolitan Museum of Art located on the East Side of New York City is one of the most famous Art museums in the world.
Unparalled There is no substituion for the Met. If you only have a few hours to spend in New York City, this is the place to be. Having traveled to many other countries and frequented their museums, I have yet to find any other place that offers such an amazing artistic experience. This is definitely the place for both art and non-art lovers, since there is something for everyone. The Met The The Metropolitan Museum of Art is considered one of the must sees of New York City in terms of culture. There is something there for everyone, whether you are an avid art fan or not. One does not need to have an appreciation for fine art to enjoy the exhibits at this museum. Admission is inexpensive.
More than paintings The best part of this is the Egyptian art wing. There are mummies and sculptures on display. The room with the lake is beautiful. The knights and armor exhibit is very impressive. The armor is displayed fully assembled so you get a sense of what they really looked like when going to battle. High Art! The Metropolitan is the "grand dame" of the New York city Museums. She is steady and true, and you will never run out of things to see here. My children and I love to come here and explore our old favorites along with the constantly changing new exhibits. The place is massive, so it is best to just focus on a room or floor and plan on coming back. Stop at the information booth - especially if coming with children. The Best Museum In Town. This was a great experience for me and my children. Everything from the outside to the inside was so large and amazing the kids were impressed. They also have the best displays from all around the world. I think this is a great educational experience for any child or adult. I will be going again.
