5/5 for sure. I recently stayed at the Metropolitan at The 9 over the weekend as I crossed off all 30 MLB stadiums from my list. The last stop was Cleveland. This hotel is in an ideal downtown location: close to bars, restaurants, ballparks/stadiums, East 4th, the casino, etc. Robert and his staff helped my party get checked in swiftly and efficiently. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, but what truly made the experience memorable was the service provided by Alyssa at the front desk. She was incredibly polite, professional, and genuinely kind!
I was extremely disappointed by the cleanliness of this hotel. Upon arrival, my original room contained visible dust, hair, crumbs, and other signs that basic cleaning had not been completed. The front desk was apologetic and moved me to another room; however, the second room also had significant cleanliness concerns. There were stains on the bedding, excessive dust throughout the room, unclean floors and baseboards, and trash that remained on the floor for the duration of my stay. The floors need move cleaning and the light fixtures need dusting. I also feel the shower needed alot of TLC. Other then that, I felt safe and the bed was like sleeping in a cloud
This hotel is a veneer. Meant to look upscale and nice on the surface but underneath it's lacking. Called and specifically asked if they had a room with a hot tub or jacuzzi, was told yes ,in the king suite. Booked the room only to get there and find out that it was just a large bathtub. Scoped out the rooftop bar they wanted $17 per drink. Absurd. The phone charger next to the bed came out of the wall with electrical wires visible. The bed was absolutely HORRIBLE !
