I would never go back to this hospital again. I only go to the ER when something is seriously wrong. I usually avoid it, but I had severe pain in my arm and decided to go. The check-in process itself was fine, but the way patients were treated was awful. While I was waiting, a woman came in screaming in pain and even collapsed onto the floor. Not so great. I went here two months ago. It was the first time in my life I went to the emergency room for any reason. I had a really bad case of contact dermatitis and ended up going to a dermatologist the next week, which I should have done in the first place, but I was in a panic. The first thing I didn't like was that several workers asked, "How are you?" in a conversational sort of way. How the heck do you think I am? I'M AT THE EMERGENCY ROOM! Some of you complaining are too testy. It's an emergency room. It's not a joy ride. And... Don't buy painkillers on the streets. If your doctor is young and inexperienced, request a new physician. I've never had a bad experience at MetroHealth. Of course I've heard young liberal type emergency staff mocking patients, but they're just too fresh from liberal schools.
