I recently reached out to the team at Metro Hearing and Tinnitus Treatment Clinic requiring help for my elderly father who’s hearing aides stopped working. Listen, if you are like me, you are probably desperate for any hope or relief from that miserable sound inside your head called Tinnitus. As a hyperacusis sufferer for many years, I feel extremely fortunate to have found this clinic. After seeing multiple doctors and ENTs who claim that there is no treatment for this condition, I have felt the life-changing benefits of increased tolerance to everyday sounds. We signed up for this service out of desperation after a family member experienced tinnitus and sudden hearing loss. Now, reflecting on it a year later, we realize it doesn’t differ much from a standard hearing clinic. While the staff was very kind and professional, the actual results didn’t significantly impact the tinnitus my family member sustained.
