As the only ambulance service in Joplin, they charge out-of-network fees to people with Blue Cross/Blue Shield, one of the nation's largest insurers. This abusive practice puts an undue burden on those forced to use their service in an emergency. The Missouri Legislature should act to make this practice unlawful.
