we went out to get ashes on ASH WEDNESDAY and wanted some breakfast. So, we noticed this diner on our way to church. On the way back we stopped. I am not one to wait for a table(NO restaurant is worth waiting for a table). So, I told me wife I am not waiting. BUT we were able to find two seats at the bar. Metro Diner is as good for dinner as it is for breakfast ( and a little less crowded ). The meatloaf taste homemade and the portions are huge. Highly recommend.
I was driving down Kingsley today, with my sister, I looked over to the left and oh what serendipity... it was a Metro Diner! Earlier in the day we were in Jax and were wishing we knew where one of their locations were, we had no idea Clay County was getting one. One of the best places to get breakfest in the city!
Absolutely the very best Diner ever! Ate here twice after seeing Chef Guy Fiery's visit on his TV show. 6 chefs behind the line! fast service. HUGE portions! On first visit, ate breakfast of hashbrowns and stuffed Calah Bread French toast with berry sauce, then ordered a Hot Pastrami on rye with another hash browns! 5 PLATINUM Stars for this place. I'll be a regular weekly from now on!
Great place for breakfast. Their food is first class, their service is great, the atmosphere is cozy and the owner is very involved in the business and addresses needs and concerns very quickly. The food is YUMMY!
Love love love the food but its to small and no parking.
Metro has a great vibe while still maintaining a family-friendly atmosphere. ALWAYS, ALWAYS super-packed, so be prepared to wait a bit, but definitely worth it. The portions are HUGE....I've never been able to clear my plate :) You won't find "Denny's Bargain-pricing" here, but again, you'll most likely end up with a Doggie-bag. Order the Breakfast Pie (it's not a slice, but a WHOLE pie). It's bigger than your face, but so tasty!
