Enjoyed working with John.
John was great in helping me to find tactics to help restore my mental health and get me back on track for how I viewed my self image. He did that along with helping me set goals based around my values to help me rebuild my confidence in self as well as spiritually.
The therapists here do not take reports of assault and abuse seriously in any capacity. They will promise to reach out and schedule sessions to discuss ongoing issues then leave parents completely in the dark. They also allow parents to sit in on entire therapy sessions which is wildly unethical and a disservice to the child. Therapists will also tell parents that they are parenting incorrectly in front of the child. John was compassionate and did a great job helping my daughter with her anxiety. In addition, they are one of the few places that will accept insurance and worked with my to get my daughter on the schedule as quickly as possible.
They called me to get me in with a licensed provider since the doctor I inquired about has a one year waitlist. They highly recommended Aimee for her training in CBT, DBT, and EMDR. They informed me that they would consult her to see if she would have interest in my case since she’s been practicing for 20+ years. I called back the next day to see if they spoke with her and they told me that due to having CPTSD, not PTSD, they don’t think they are qualified and would not be a good fit/able to help me.
