I brought my wife in because she had a seizure/stroke that caused her the inability to speak for a while. She has had ongoing tremors and is scheduled for an MRI on Tuesday. However, this emergency that took her voice is what brought us to the ED. The nurse in triage at that time kept telling everyone it will be 3-4 hours. We came to the ER after a possible stroke. I was unable to speak for 30 min. My speech came back and it was slurred. I was still having Tremors by the time we got to the ER. My husband was speaking for me because it was difficult to speak. The nurse at the front with the short hair cut was rude. She kept telling everyone it will be 3 to 4 hours. I recently visited the ER in an incredibly vulnerable state, and though the hospital was short on rooms, I was met with an act of kindness I will never forget. I truly believed I was going to have to endure a difficult experience on a bed in the hallway, exposed and overwhelmed. That’s when Nurse Jojo stepped in — and changed everything. Awful awful awful place!! Not only did they have no care in the world to find out what was actually wrong with me. The doctor had the audacity to look me in the face and tell me “it was all made up in my head.” I can assure you I would not miss work and spend an ENTIRE day in the hospital if it was all made up in my head. How inconsiderate and rude to someone who has been dealing with health issues.
