Though the hospital was extremely busy. I felt the staff was on top of all our needs.
The staff was wonderful and I received good care despite the horrible working conditions they were facing. After 24 hours in an ER room I was moved into the hallway for 7 hours where I received oxygen but no other treatment for double pneumonia! Fortunately, the admitting physician walked by and noticed me in the hallway and took action to move me to CTU. Thirty patients were ahead of me for a room! I spent the next 3 nights in CTU. Everyone within the ER were extremely pleasant and professional. Only complaint, after being admitted, I did not received a “delivered” meal for the first 28 hours
Obviously, going to the emergency room is not pleasant. If I ever have to go again, I will definitely go to Methodist Hospital Stone Oak. The people who cared for me there were kind, caring and very well organized, even though they were understaffed and overworked, with a much larger influx of patients than usually expected.
