In 1954, a man named Stanley Haahr decided to start a new bank in Storm Lake, Iowa. He gathered up a handful of friends who kicked-in a total of ten thousand dollars. Enough to incorporate the Storm Lake Savings and Loan Association. On February 22, 1954, Haahr opened the doors with nothing more than a desk, a cash box and a borrowed vault. Stanley Haahr didn't start with a refined mission statement or a deep business philosophy. "Just take care of the people!"

ONE DAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS AND I NEED MY MONEY BACK ON MY CARD I rented a car from Hertz on Decemeber 12th using my Western Union debit card that is issued by Metabank. When I retuned the rented car the next day, Hertz removed the deposit hold; however Metabank is still holding the full deposit. According to western union, they can hold my deposit for 30 days which I never heard of such a policy. I was advised to contact Hertz to send a fax to the bank requesting the release of the funds.
