I was told to scrap my e46. I understand it’s a lottery buying used, but it came up with 50 error codes. He told me to part it out. I spent maybe 1 hour 30 minutes replacing the ambient temp sensor, cleaning icv, etc. I cleared the codes. No more codes. Runs strong with a tune up and idles fine. Was quoted 5k for body work. Paid 1.4k and got it done. If your car is in qustionable shape, they won’t even bother and probably tell you “scrap your car.” Me and a couple other friends have same experience.
