Signed my son up for baseball for the first time ever and they couldn’t find a coach had them miss practices then they FINALLY found a coach and then couldn’t find fields for them to practice on so cancelled more practices!!! Ohh and good luck EVER hearing back from the athletic director!!! Beyond disorganized DO NOT USE THEM FOR AZ CLUB PREP (the city uses them for the baseball program)!!!!
We have previously had a good experience with this league last year. However ALL that changed with this fall registration. Ive been trying for a week to speak with a manager or supervisor AFTER an employee told me one would reach out to me. A week went by with no response from them. I have tried to contact someone multiple times only to be told to text the line. Not a great experience with this league. Rosters we're released and we were informed we had no coach. Games are set to start in a few weeks and there has been no communication for practice times or any details surrounding the team. They asked parents to step up to be coaches and the group was told that someone could assist, but they didnt know much about the sport and could just "wing it" Super unorganized. Played two seasons of flag football, had the absolute worst experience with the staff, they called and asked me back, stated that they removed some staff and changed things. We gave them a second chance and received the same outcome. Would not recommend City of Mesa for any sports. Staff is truly unprofessional and rude. They don't solve problems, they continue to let them evolve. Not perfect... but at least it's not NYS! Great prices, decent organization, refs and umpires leave a lot to be desired😂 (Updated 5/24) I have definitely seen an improvement in the umpiring for this season over last. I've had the job before and I know it's not easy dealing with the coaches and/or parents sometimes! I did just REALLY want to thank the organizers of the league for having a low cost option out there for kids who are just starting off in sports.
