Played two seasons of flag football, had the absolute worst experience with the staff, they called and asked me back, stated that they removed some staff and changed things. We gave them a second chance and received the same outcome. Would not recommend City of Mesa for any sports. Staff is truly unprofessional and rude. They don't solve problems, they continue to let them evolve. Roger Ramirez blamed my team and myself, but declined to take care of the real issue and proceeded to tell my players to not be so sensitive. I wa... read more

Not perfect... but at least it's not NYS! Great prices, decent organization, refs and umpires leave a lot to be desired😂 (Updated 5/24) I have definitely seen an improvement in the umpiring for this season over last. I've had the job before and I know it's not easy dealing with the coaches and/or parents sometimes! I did just REALLY want to thank the organizers of the league for having a low cost option out there for kids who are just starting off in sports. Hopefully there are many more kids who sign up in the future. That... read more

Do not allow for refunds or credits unless you request in writing PRIOR to roster! How can you know pretty much ANYTHING unless you at least go to first practice?! They don't even set up access to safe places for practices and games - coaches (volunteer parents) must do that! Disgusting! Our 4 y/o toddler was to play basketball, and the balls they required were WAY too big. They need to use the mini size! And first practice, the hoops were up at 7ft!!! We left that practice. Now they refuse to refund!

Unfortunately it is time for us to find another league. Our son has been here for many seasons for soccer, football, and basketball and it seems to get worse every season. One pro is that it’s a low cost league but keep in mind that you get what you pay for. We haven’t had issues with delayed games or anything like that which is good. As for the cons, it’s all volunteer coaches and the league never seems to have enough these days so it ends up being a parent who volunteers at the last minute. The coaching is hit or miss, som... read more

I signed my daughter up for the basketball league offered & it was a nice learning experience. We liked the low cost enrollment fee. My daughter made some new friends on her team & her coach was very accommodating to the participating families. We looked forward to practices & games, as a family. Although, we did have some trouble w/the team photo portions at the end of the season. I guess there was some trouble w/the photographer hired & they never fulfilled the orders. I didn't receive word on it for weeks until I reached ... read more
