Recently spent a weekend at the Mesa Vista Lodge. A group of us have been booking a cabin in hocking hills area for years and although they have all been beautiful, this was by far the best. The lodge was clean, spacious, stocked with everything you could possibly need, hot tub worked well which is usually not the case, beds were comfortable, and the property just absolutely breathtaking. I cannot say enough good things about this cabin. Just some background on my stay. We had 14 people spend the night all of which were couples. The land that the cabin was on was beyond amazing. The owners allowed us to walk the driveways and it is truly breathtaking to see the care they have for their land. The owner, Cathy, is wonderful. She does stop by in the beginning to give us the quick tour. You can tell she truly cares and appreciates people renting out the cabin. Do NOT stay at this lodge. The property is beautiful, however, the host was intrusive & presented to the cabin twice the day we arrived and the excessive rules were absurd. We went as a group of adults. There were numerous signs around the house displaying rules (NOT posted on the VRBO website) that would result in charges. For example, you are not able to use more than a certain amount of GB of internet (how do you figure out how many GB each person out of a cabin of 20 uses when there is no cell service??) or you get fined... read more
